What is in this file

  • The publisher lists all 33 main weapons and all 27 Sha-Chi armaments as unlocked in slot 1.
  • 73 accessories and 17 medicines are listed alongside them.
  • The file holds 6 slots and is positioned at the first Bell in Weeping Creek Valley.
  • Slot 2 is left clean, so you can keep the arsenal and still start your own run.

To check the download arrived intact, run certutil -hashfile PBZSaveGame.sav SHA256 in the folder you downloaded to and compare the result against the string above. A truncated download is the commonest cause of a save the game calls damaged.

How to install it

  1. Close Phantom Blade Zero completely. A running game overwrites the file on exit.
  2. Back up your whole save folder, the 17-digit SteamID folder and not only the .sav, somewhere outside the game directory.
  3. Drop the download in as PBZSaveGame.sav, replacing the existing file. The path is in the save location guide.
  4. Start the game and load the slot at the Bell. If nothing appears, work through the fixes page before deciding the file is bad.

What is not in it

This file does not carry quest completion for weapons you were supposed to earn. A weapon whose acquisition is tied to a side tale will be in your inventory, but the tale itself will still read as unfinished, and any reward that fires on completion will not have fired. That is the same limitation the save editor has, and it is inherent to editing inventory rather than replaying the event.

If you would rather build the save yourself

The browser editor does the opposite job: it takes the save you already have and changes specific grades and quantities. It needs two files from your own install, your PBZSaveGame.sav and your PBZ.exe, because the key that decrypts the save lives in the executable, not in the save itself. The format page explains why.

Will this save let me skip the weapon upgrade grind?

It gives you the weapons, not the upgrade materials. Grades start where the publisher left them; the max-materials save is the one that arrives with the bench already paid for. You can also raise grades yourself with the save editor.

Does unlocking all weapons give me the weapon achievements?

No. Achievements are recorded by Steam against your account, not inside the save file, so a weapon that appears in the file has not been earned in Steam’s eyes until you meet the achievement’s actual condition.

Is this an NG+ save or a first playthrough?

It is a Cycle 1 save: the first playthrough, positioned at the first Bell checkpoint rather than at the end of the game. That is why it is safe to carry into your own run instead of dropping you into a post-game state.

Why is the file only 65 KB?

A PBZS v3 save is compressed JSON plus a small header and directory. Inventory records are a few hundred bytes each, so a save holding every weapon is still tiny. Large save files usually mean many slots of quest and world state, not more items.
