Save Vault

What a save calls your gear

A PBZS save stores string IDs, not display names. These are the ones the editor maps to something readable.

Names the save never shows you.

Open your own save in the editor and this is roughly what comes back, except the editor builds the list from your file, so it also includes anything you own that is not named here.

Stored globally, not per slot. 1 means owned. The ID column is what the save stores; the name column is what the editor shows in its place.

The cap column in every table above is the editor's own ceiling for that field, not a guess about what the game will accept. Values above it are clamped on write, and a grade the game itself limits will be pulled back down on your next save.

Together those tables cover the weapons, Sha-Chi armaments, accessories, core materials, medicines and outfits. The rest of the goods list is longer than this page needs to be, and every entry in it still loads and edits.

Outfits are the one category stored account-wide rather than per slot, which is why they take a 0 or 1.

Why the names matter more than the IDs

If you are editing a save by hand, with the editor or by writing your own tool, the ID is the part that has to be exact. A near-miss ID does not error; it simply creates a second inventory entry the game may never show you. The editor avoids that by matching case-insensitively against the keys already in your file and reusing the existing spelling rather than writing a new one.

Grades and quantities are less forgiving in a different way. A weapon grade above the cap still loads, but the game clamps it back down on the next save, so the change appears to undo itself. The editor page lists each category's practical ceiling.

The ID has to be exact. A near miss creates a second entry the game may never show.

Where do these IDs come from?

They are the identifiers Phantom Blade Zero writes into a PBZS save record. The editor reads them out of your own file; the names here come from the game’s own item tables for the reference build. Anything in your save that is not in this list still appears in the editor under its raw ID.

Why are some names in Chinese as well as English?

The game ships a Chinese and an English table, and the English table does not cover every entry. Where an English name exists it is shown first; the Chinese name is the original and is kept so you can match it against the game.

What does “grade is one higher in the save” mean?

The game shows a weapon as +7 at the cap, but the field stores 8. A value of 0 would display as +(-1), so the field is never meaningful below 1. The editor converts between the two so you can type the number the game shows.

Is this a complete list of every item in the game?

No. It is the set the editor maps to readable names, which covers the weapons, Sha-Chi armaments, accessories, core materials, medicines and outfits. The game has hundreds of goods entries; the ones not listed still load and edit, just under their raw ID.
